Tauranga Hobby Group – Creativity, Connection & Calm
For many of us living with CFS, FM or Long Covid, finding ways to stay connected that don’t drain our energy can be a real challenge. A great local option is the Tauranga Hobby Group, originally created by a CCI Support member, this friendly, inclusive weekly gathering is for people who enjoy creating, crafting and simply being in good company.
The group meets every Wednesday from 6–8 pm at The Incubator Creative Hub (part of the Creative Community Campus at Creative Bay of Plenty, near The Historic Village). Bring along your own hobby, whatever it is you love doing, whether that’s digital art, knitting, crochet, embroidery, painting, scrapbooking, sewing, weaving or something entirely unique.
It’s a very relaxed and welcoming space for people of all ages and skill levels. You can work on your own projects, try out something new, chat with others over a cuppa, or simply enjoy the creative atmosphere.
The cost is modest, typically around $2 if you bring your own supplies, or $5 if you’d like to use some of the provided materials.
