Hello lovely BOP members,
Wow, didn’t Autumn arrive quickly? 🍂 I know many of you will be welcoming the cooler days. This is a great time to pause, take a deep breath, and notice the subtle changes around us as the seasons shift.
March has been a busy month with the launch of our two online Towards Wellness Programmes! While you can follow it at your own pace, the group setting offers connection, positivity, and support on our wellness journeys.
It was great to be back in Whakatāne for our in-person meeting, but I’d love to see more EBOP members—it would be wonderful to catch up!
Our Restorative Movement & Breathwork sessions have also restarted, and I’m really enjoying sharing that space to co-regulate our nervous systems.
If you’d like more information about the Towards Wellness Programme or any of our workshops and groups, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
This month, I facilitated our March Monthly Members’ Meeting on Navigating Medications, featuring a condensed version of Hassan Abomaray’s presentation from 15th Ave Pharmacy. Both versions, along with medication and supplement forms, are available on our website.
This meeting reinforced the value of a strong relationship with your pharmacist. Beyond dispensing medications, they can review prescriptions, check for interactions, suggest alternatives, and offer advice on managing side effects. They also provide guidance on over-the-counter treatments, compounded medications, and in some cases, prescription renewals. With GP appointments often delayed, pharmacists are a valuable resource for medication management and support. Until next time, take good care of yourself and your nervous system
Fantastic, friendly and supportive people. Most importantly show understanding of what your going through.
