Hello to all our lovely members and welcome to all the new members that have come onboard.

I hope you have all managed to take extra good care of yourselves during this time and with the peak of Omicron on its way down, some normality to our daily lives returns.

I am really enjoying the change of season, with the cooler weather and beautiful, but not so hot days. It has been lovely connecting with you all on the phone, online video and on the online monthly members meetings.

May is ME awareness month, and together with our regional Me support organisations around NZ and World ME Alliance (organisations around the world) we are working together to raise awareness for the condition. World ME Day focus is, Learn from ME.

Can you help us? By sharing stories, images and information in the lead up to World ME Day on the 12th May 2022? Please contact me via email or share on our Facebook page.

Last month, I joined the Papamoa Coffee group in Tauranga and was fantastic to meet some of our members in person. This really highlighted the importance of connecting with others who have the same or similar conditions and forming those lifelong connections. We encourage each of you to connect, learn and share with each other your experience with your condition.

We would love to have volunteers to help us with social group/coffee group gatherings around New Zealand, just to meet and great others and organise venue/times- these are informal gatherings for social connection, chat, and a coffee. Please contact me if you are interested in volunteering.

Take really good care of yourselves
