The Finch App is a cute little self-care app that rewards you for checking off tasks with outfits and ‘birdhouse’ furniture, takes the bird on trips around the world, and lets you send supportive messages and reminders to other Finch users.
It can be adapted to a variety of different levels – when you are choosing your daily tasks it might suggest ‘go for a walk’ or ‘do a five-minute plank’ but if you select a lower level it might suggest ‘drink some water’, ‘take three deep breaths’, ‘step outside once’ or ‘pause and appreciate the food I’m about to eat’.
I really appreciate that you don’t have to complete all the tasks each day to get the rewards – just some of them – so there is no pressure to push yourself to do more than you are capable of on the day.
While there is a paid option, the free version is perfectly usable by itself.
