As the winter chill sets in, many of us are slowing down, keeping warm, and being gentle with our energy. Wherever you are pacing yourselves this season, know that our team is here, working steadily behind the scenes on your behalf.
We are now fully settled into our remote working rhythm, and it continues to serve our members well. Over the last two months, we’ve also welcomed Rosie and Olivia to the team, who are supporting our administration and member engagement work. We’re delighted to have them on board.
We’ve been reviewing and refining how we deliver support, and we hope you’ll notice a difference — our team is working more intentionally, always with your best interests at the heart of every decision.
On the advocacy front, I recently made a written submission on the Disability Support Services Bill, which you can read on our website. I also presented a verbal submission to the Select Committee, making sure the voices and needs of our community were heard where decisions are made.
A heartfelt thank you to our amazing volunteers, who have been doing wellbeing check-in calls with members. If you receive a call from one of them, it’s simply someone from our CCI whānau checking in to see how you’re doing.
Finally, to our staff — thank you for your professionalism, dedication, and the genuine care you bring to this work every single day.
Ngā mihi nui to you all.
