Kia Ora and Welcome from the Mighty Waikato
Well, apparently spring has sprung. Not sure where it has sprung off to, but it definitely is not here at my place today. Is it hiding at yours? I have seen some signs of Spring here and there, the amazing sights of cherry trees and fruit trees in full blossom dotted around the countryside side hints at some evidence of Spring. To be fair, I think the weather is being very typical of Spring – Unsettled and windy! And although the temperatures have dropped again this week (Of my writing), we have seen some milder temperatures than normal, most notably warmer nights.
This climate change business is very interesting to observe. Most recently in the South Island with bush fires, snow and flooding all occurring in the same week. Crazy!!!
One thing worth considering early is that IF we do have an El Nino weather pattern this summer, be prepared. It will be a hot one so ensure to have all your cooling devices on hand. Kmart apparently sells a great range of cooling items, like cool touch pillows and memory foam gel cooling seat cushions. Dick Smith is currently selling cooling vests and wiseliving.co.nz are selling Ice Cool Neck Wrap Cooling Scarves, which I have heard are brilliant. We will no doubt talk more about this the closer we get to summer.
And speaking of Summer … Here in NZ, summer is synonymous with Christmas. Eeeekkk!!!! I’m not ready to go there yet, but I have heard that Bunnings have their Christmas decorations already out for sale. And we haven’t even had Halloween yet! My goodness, the world really has gone mad!!
Haha.. Oh dear.. Such is life! Have a great day!!
