As autumn settles in and the cooler months arrive, many of us are spending more time tucked away at home, pacing ourselves and adjusting to the seasonal changes. While our team is now fully settled into working remotely, please know that behind the screens is a dedicated group of people who genuinely care about our members and the wellbeing of our community.
Over recent months, we have made some important changes to the way we deliver support services. We have moved away from the regional facilitator model, and instead our team now supports members right across Aotearoa based on capacity, skills, and areas of expertise. This approach allows us to provide more flexible and sustainable support while ensuring members continue to receive compassionate, knowledgeable assistance.
We are also excited to see new online groups emerging through the generosity of our volunteers — many of whom are members themselves and bring valuable lived experience and understanding of ME/CFS. A special thank you to Rona, who now hosts Afternoon Tea with Rona fortnightly on Saturdays at 3pm. We have also refreshed our long-standing member groups, now known as the Journey Circle and the Wisdom Circle.
We’re pleased to share that, following a challenging funding period, successful grant outcomes and careful planning have allowed most staff to return to regular hours from 4 May. We are incredibly grateful for your patience, your financial support, and to everyone who has renewed their membership. The trust you place in us is something we deeply value, and in return our team remains committed to serving you with professionalism, care, and dedication.
