Hello BOP members,

There has been a lot happening this month! We love the new venue for our Tauranga social coffee group. Now meeting in the café at Palmers (Welcome Bay roundabout). We have found it offers a much more relaxed and peaceful environment, with plenty of parking in their private car park.

I’m super excited to announce that we have secured a venue at Whakatane Hospital for our new in-person meetings starting on August 7th. These meetings will be held bimonthly, where we will discuss our monthly members’ meeting and have a short restorative breathwork session to support our nervous system regulation practice. Additionally, at our next Rotorua social group meeting, we will be making sauerkraut to take home, which is super beneficial for our digestive systems.

Tania and I recently attended a network meeting where we had the chance to speak with local council candidates. This was a good chance to see how they can support our disability community. It was nice to get to know the people behind the billboard faces!

I hope you were able to celebrate or at least acknowledge Matariki and the beginning of a new year. With this, we can begin to plant seeds for our wellness plan and journey. Speaking of wellness plans, Tracey and I are also starting a Towards Wellness Programme online group session this month (July) for those who have paid for the program but need a little prompting to complete it. This will be a small group, so spaces are limited.

Lastly, I have just finished filming four short restorative movement practices, approximately 15 minutes each. These will soon be available on our website and Facebook page. Keep an eye out for these soothing and restorative videos.

If you are interested in any of the above groups, please contact me for more details.

Until next time take care and stay warm and cosy 😊
