Kia Ora to all our beautiful Wellington members! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New year, and that you are looking after yourselves and your energy in these really tumultuous times that we are experiencing in NZ. We have been so lucky down here in Wellington, but that does not mean that we haven’t been affected by the stress and the sadness of what is going on in the rest of the country. It is important to acknowledge feelings and be kind to one another. Looking after what we are exposed to is also important. I have been glued to the news all day every day, concerned about the well-being of the people up north. However,  the constant stress has left me feeling depleted and feeling even more powerless. I have made a conscious effort of how much news I consume at the moment and taking the time to sit and understand my own feelings about it. We also had that big shakedown here in Wellington! I hope everyone is ok after that 😊 If anyone is struggling right now, please know that my door and phone is always open. Feel free to call and share the load with a friendly ear. As I sit here writing this and looking out my window, I feel grateful that today the sun is out and things always seem a little easier and lighter when the sun is shining. I will make time to sit outside for a while (it does wonders for your circadian rhythms) as well as your soul! I hope you are all keeping well, and I’m really looking forward to catching up with you all either at the social meetings or over the phone in the next coming weeks! 😊 Kia Kaha, Luisa
